October 2006 Aussie fans sought for new film documentary Tiger Alley Productions is currently seeking Elvis Presley fans of various age groups for a new Australian film. The documentary will be produced in time for the 30th Anniversary since the King's passing and will focus on examining Elvis as a popular culture icon in Australia The keenest fans are invited for consideration and possible inclusion in the film. Appropriate candidates are people who celebrate the genius of Elvis on an ongoing basis and who have been profoundly touched by this icon. October 2006 Elvis Presley In Concert to tour Australia & New Zealand Elvis Presley In Concert will tour Australia in October 2006 performing to legions of Elvis fans in Perth (6th), Adelaide (8th), Melbourne (10th), Brisbane (12th) and Sydney (14th). Although originally considered, at this time there are no plans for the concert to visit New Zealand. There will be official pre-sale ticketing and exclusive ticket packages that include premium seats, a meet and greet with the TCB Band and more ... available to purchase online soon. Hardin (piano), Jerry Scheff (bass), and Ronnie Tutt (drums); Myrna Smith (vocals) of The Sweet Inspirations, Ed Enoch (vocals) of The Stamps and Joe Guercio (musical director & conductor). Joining Ms. Smith on female backing vocals will new cast members. Joining Mr. Enoch on male backing vocals will be members of his modern-day configuration of The Stamps. Tickets are expected to go on sale in late June. In advance of the regular on-sale date, will be an advance sale of "golden circle" seats that offer the purchaser special considerations, including premium seating, a backstage reception to meet the cast and more. Confirmed show dates and venues will be announced sometime in the weeks ahead. For this same October 2006 tour, efforts are being made to secure some show dates in the Far East. March 11 2006 Garry "Elvis" at the Twins Plus Festival Suspended over a trampoline!

March 2006 Twins Plus Festival "Elvis" will appear at the Twins Plus Festival, to be held March 10th to 12th 2006 in Canberra, organised by the Australian Multiple Birth Association. Elvis's appearance is apt because, as we know, he was a twin. On Saturday 11 March at 5 pm there will be an attempt to set a world record for the largest assembly of twins, triplets, quads & quintuplets, at the Thoroughbred Park, Randwick Road, Lyneham, ACT. Volunteers are sought to check participants' birth certificates, as required by Guinness Records. If you are interested in helping, please contact Jacqui Martin on (02) 6971 2805 (this particular activity doesn't involve Elvis). March 2006 Elvis Personalised Plates and Guitar Giveaway in Brisbane Music Junction and Personalised Plates QLD (PPQ) are doing an ElvisPromotion at this year's Brisbane International Motor Show at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. PPQ are launching the very first Elvis personalised number plates in Queensland. The first set of these will be auctioned off at the PPQ Collector Plate Auction at the Motor Show on Wednesday 8th March at 7pm. A Fender 50th Anniversary guitar valued at $1995 will also be given away on the night to the highest bidder on the Elvis plates. In conjunction with this launch, Music Junction will run an in store promotion, giving away a set of number plates valued at $425 (these can be the new Elvis personalised plates) with any guitar purchase over $500.

February 28 2006 Priscilla Presley launches luxury linens in Sydney Priscilla Presley launched her new luxury linen range in Sydney on Tuesday February 28 2006 at Myers in Pitt Street with business partner Bruno Schiavi. The launch, which included a lively parade with descriptions of the rationale behind the different designs, was followed by question time from the media and the audience. Priscilla stayed back to sign books, photographs and linen before leaving for Melbourne. She launches her luxury linen at Myers in Brisbane on Friday March 3rd. February 2006 Priscilla Presley planning a visit to Australia Priscilla Presley is planning a visit to Australia to launch a signature range of linen. She is reported as heading to Australia a couple of days before the official Sydney launch of her signature range on February 28. That means she'll have some time off to relax, which might just include watching a few shows at Melbourne's upcoming fashion festival.
