ROCK 'N' ROLL GNOMES ADD COLOUR TO THE ACTEWAGL WEBSITE
This year will see the return of the gnomes to Floriade in the ActewAGL Rock 'n' Roll Gnome competition, appropriately named to coincide with this year's Floriade theme "Rock 'n' Roll in Bloom".
To celebrate the return of gnomes to Floriade, ActewAGL has released a gnome website banner that features a colouring-in studio that lets you paint a virtual gnome online - a first for the ActewAGL website.
By selecting "colour in a gnome" you can create your own original piece of gnome art. The banner also allows you to name and save your virtual gnome, and email your family and friends inviting them to view your gnome or colour in their own.
The gnomes have always been a huge success, raising funds for charity and adding a colourful and community-spirited element to Floriade. Participants are invited to purchase plaster gnomes for only $8.80 each from selected outlets - Magnet Mart, The Good Guys and the ActewAGL Home Connect Store - and paint and decorate them according to the theme. The best gnomes will share in $20,000 worth of prizes.
All proceeds from the sale of the competition gnomes will go to Koomarri - the leading service provider for people with a disability in Canberra and the surrounding NSW region.
