Elvis Christmas Peace CD now in Australian music shops

A 2-CD-set. The first CD contains a great selection of Christmas songs sung in a variety of styles, showcasing Elvis's great range. The 2nd CD consists of gospel songs which we already have in our gospel CD collections. Why was this included? A single CD of Chrismas songs only would have been perfectly adequate - and cheaper. It has to compete with $10 Christmas CDs of The Platters, Bing Crosby, etc. The song list on the back consisting of white text on a textured fawn background is difficult to read.

Elvis Second to None

The "Elvis Second to None" CD is now available in Australian stores. For those who were sceptical and thought they had most of these songs already, the sound is crisp and fresh. While not everyone likes "Rubberneckin'", there are so many of the old favourites well reworked as well as the previously unreleased bonus track "I'm a Roustabout". We were originally slow to purchase this CD, but were glad we did.

The annual Twilight Street Parade was held on Saturday 6th September. This parade is the biggest event of the 11-day long festival and attracts between 10,000-15,000 spectators. Plans for the final float were a tribute to Elvis - despite follow-up e-mails about this, nothing has been received so far.
