Andy Warhol's Elvis
Over the next year, some of the National Gallery of Australia's most treasured works of art will be exhibited across the nation as part of its twentieth anniversary celebrations. The works include Sidney Nolan's Ned Kelly series, Andy Warhol's Elvis, Peter Paul Ruben's Self-portrait, Claude Monet's Haystacks, Midday, Henri Matisse's The Abduction of Europa, Willem De Kooning's Woman V, Lucian Freud's After Cezanne, Jackson Pollock's Blue Poles, Arthur Streeton's Golden Summer, Eaglemont and Eugene von Guerard's North-east View from the Northern Top of Mount Kosciusko and Ferntree Gully in the Dandenong Ranges.
The works will be on show at 20 regional, remote and metropolitan galleries in all Australian states and territories, including galleries in Perth, Bunbury and Kalgoorlie in Western Australia; Port Lincoln, Adelaide and Mount Gambier in South Australia; Alice Springs and Darwin, Northern Territory; Cairns and Rockhampton in Queensland; Armidale, Broken Hill, Albury and Sydney in New South Wales; Mornington, Hamilton, Melbourne and Langwarrin in Victoria; and Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania.
