The “Speer shoot” is considered to be the very first proper ‘official’ photo shoot Elvis ever did, with Vernon and Gladys also being photographed during the shoot.

Below is a series of publicity photographs taken of Elvis that predate the Speer shoot – these ‘sessions’ usually resulted in very few photos, it seems like two was almost the absolute max. However, they still appear to be done in fairly professional settings for the most part and certainly used in promotional purposes so they deserve a little section of their own.
