JANUARY Elvis Revival Festival - Parkes, NSW The annual Elvis Revival Festival is usually held on the weekend following the anniversary of Elvis' birth. For more information, contact the Parkes Tourist Centre. For the Elvis Revival Festival 2005 go to: Parkes Shire Council

AUGUST Elvis Memorial Night - Blue Suede Rock 'n' Roll Club of Perth, WA The Blue Suede Rock 'n' Roll Club's main activity is an Elvis Memorial Night held every year around August 16th. The Club spends all year collecting Elvis memorabilia for this night and although it is raffled off, they don't make any money out of the raffle. Proceeds are usually already spent on the prizes, but it's still a lot of fun. Contact: Geoff Tuke. Elvis Presley Candlelight Tribute Memorial Service Nearly every year since 2000 the Elvis Legends Social Club of Canberra has held a Memorial Service to Elvis on August 16th. Contact: Garry. NOVEMBER National Elvis Presley Convention The National Elvis Presley Convention in November 2004 is the first of what will probably be annual conventions in Canberra. The PROGRAM is now available.

DECEMBER Christmas lights - "Gracelands", Tingarra Heights, Newcastle, NSW "Gracelands" at Tingarra Heights is always a highlight of the Christmas lights season. People come from as far away as the Central Coast to see the spectacle. Margaret and Allen Spencer look around the Hunter and overseas to come up with a slightly bigger show each year. Every year visitors donate money and it goes to a variety of local charities, including the Rescue Helicopter. Source: ABC Newcastle NSW, December 23 2002.
